1. Colorado is AMAZING.
I love it because of the random weather, and the awesomely strange people who live here!
2. English Literature is awesome because of the phisch bowls and the awesome books we read.
3. I learn best by hands on things lectures really don't work too much.
4. The exercise that has been meaningful to me was modernizing scenes from Oedipus. It was really awesome because we got to be creative and parallel the problems of the City of Thebes to modern day.
5. Activities outside of school that are meaningful, are my job, and my family. I really enjoy customer service and while working at a grocery store i feel like my experience just increases. Also my family is an important part of my life. We spend every sunday together, and we always do something fun like play board games or watch a movie.
6. There are alot of things that I am passionate about. I love to read, act, draw, and write. I am not the best at any of these things (I guess I'm a good reader though XD).
7. During the next semester, I will be working mostly, hopefully I will get into community theater, and I will spend lots of time with my family.

13. I motivated by the fact that I want to go to CSU And I want to make sure to get a 4.0 so it makes it much easier to get in.
14. What is your favorite thing in the whole world?
15. I think I am most like Hamlet. Not in the sense that my father is dead and I am trying to avenge him, but in the sense that I really have a hard time making decisions. Since IK don't spring to make decisions, others have to make them for me just like in Hamlet.

My favorite thing about Colorado is that the weather is never boring. The climate is mild and it varies a lot. I like reading good books and watching movies. I learn best through activities and visual things like movies. Taking partner quizzes have been really meaningful to me. Sports have been meaningful to me outside the classroom. I am passionate about sports and I will be participating in club volleyball and track second semester. I do not know anything about the picture of Dorian Gray. I love the British accents of the people in England. You should know that we have doughnut fun filled Wednesdays every Wednesday. I love this class so I would not change anything. On the first day of the semester, I want to get to know you as a teacher and your teaching style and not get any homework. I am motivated by my pride. In a way I am motivated by good grades, because if I get a bad grade, I feel as though I have failed. I want to know what your teaching style is like so that I can learn well.

1. Being a native, I like how everybody that moves here gets freaked out by the desert-like summers, arctic-like winters, and altitude. One ski trip, and you'll mind will likely be made up: this is the best place in the world.

12. Keep the straight A's I start with.

3. I learn best when discussing in small groups.
4. The best classes I have had always got way off topic, but we ended up learning way more than we usualy would.

6. Music, books, tech.
7. Orchestra and more technical theatre.
8.Absolutely nothing.
9. I love the landscape of England, its so pretty, especially Scotland. I like how varied the people seem to be, but they are actually quite similar to one another.

15. This is hard. I can think of characters I would like to be like, but none that are terribly similar to me. I would like to say Eowyn, as cliched and typical as that is. But we are similar to each other in that we both want to be free from the chains of society, to be remembered for something. Though I am not yet at the point where I would go on a suicide mission dressed as a man. Though that would be kinda fun.

1.I like Colorado because we actually have all four seasons, and every time I get to a new season I get really happy.
2.I really like reading, so I guess it’s a good mix.
3.I tend to color or play with play dough when I’m in class; it helps me focus. Basically, if I am sitting still and it looks like I am listening to you, I may be trying to pay attention, but I need to be doing something to listen well. I take notes in my coloring books and it also helps me study. It helps me remember what my notes say if I can picture the coloring page it was on.
4.Well, in my American Lit class last year, I loved the documentary we did at the end of the year (if you want you can ask Mrs. Comp about it—they were sweet. She may even have a copy still). This year I thought it was cool to do live blogging during fishbowls.
5.I am one of the head editors of the yearbook, which has taught me how to edit well (aka not be afraid to hurt someone’s feelings because then they won’t become a better writer). It also consumes a LOT of my time and that staff is like a second slightly bizarre family.
6.Passion is a weird concept.
A while ago I got really angry at the poverty in the world and it made me mad that America can be so self-centered and I felt like I couldn’t do anything about it. Therefore, I have been raising money and going on trips to help fix this, and I also put on a concert last Friday to raise funds (www.childsurvival.weebly.com--we raised about $1,200). I want to study Global and Urban Ministries in college and travel everywhere when I graduate.
I love photography and spend way too much time with my baby, a Pentax K100D, editing and improving my work, and posting my work on flickr (http://flickr.com/photos/7963870@N05/). I also love creative writing. I think it’s ridiculously fun how you can make up whatever you want and make it really quirky or interesting. I also love Jesus a whole bunch—his glory illuminates my life.
7.Yearbook and work and multiple youth groups and I don’t even know yet, as I don’t plan ahead very well.
8.Ah! I’m so excited! I started reading that and then my brother stole it when he came home to visit and I haven’t been able to get it again. I really want to read The Picture of Dorian Gray.
9.England…they have cool books (one of my favorites is Jane Eyre!). And they have cool accents. It would be awesome to go there some day.
10.We eat donuts on Wednesdays.
11.I would probably have less reading in class—I can do most of that all by myself.
12.I’m not going to lie, at that point I will probably be wishing it was still break. However, I would like to jump into our next unit/book instead of doing prep stuff or something, which always seems to happen and always seems kind of pointless.
13.I am really bad at being motivated, but when I am actually learning and thinking then I get excited about the topic we are studying.
14.What is your favorite color?
15.I may be like Anne, from Anne of Green Gables, because she is so imaginative and quirky. Also, I am probably like Mary, from Pride and Prejudice, because she thinks she is smart and then usually sounds stupid and she is fairly awkward.
Now you know way more than you ever wanted to about me! :)

7. Partying and staying fresh.

1. My favorite part about Colorado is our big sky. In big cities you can only see patches of sky peeking between skyscrapers, but here you can see from horizen to horizen, plus, nothing can compare to the sunsets over the mountains!
2. I like the style that a lot of English Literature is written in, I can't specifically say what the difference is, but the voice is a little different than that of American Literature and I like it better that way.
3. I am totally a visual learner. I learn best by taking notes and by doodling while I am listening.
4. I like fishbowls because we can throw ideas around about the plot and characters that we might not have thought about before.
5. I've been on our swim team all of my four years at Arapahoe. I really enjoy swimming because it is good exercise and it is fun to compete and cheer for my teammates. I also like spending time with my family and friends, especially while watching movies and eating pizza.
6. I’m passionate about music, I’ve been playing piano since I was four and even though I can’t play well I really enjoy practicing and going to concerts etc. :D
7. I’ll be finishing up the swim season in January and after that … ???
8. I don’t know anything about this book, but I’m excited to be studying a book that hasn’t been “overtaught”.
9. I love how things are a little more formal in England, how they still have a monarchy and just how people act differently than they do here.
10. This class is pretty laid back but we still get a lot of stuff done. We all get along easily and we really feed off of each other’s ideas.

11. To be honest I would change the books that we read. I went into this class thinking that we were going to be reading English literature, and other than Hamlet we have been studying ancient epic poems and plays. Not that that’s a bad thing, necessarily, I was just looking forward to studying books that reflected more of English society and culture.

12. On the first day of class next semester I hope I can pick up where I left off and make it through the day without wishing too hard that winter break would come back again.
: )

13. I’m motivated by the expectations I have for myself. I know that if I try hard I can do well, and so if my grades start to drop I know I’ve gotten lazy and need to pick things back up again.

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a kid?

15. Hmm. I guess I’m a little like Jane from Pride and Prejudice. I can be quiet but I’m pretty easygoing and love to spend time with my friends and family.
